Becoming a parent is such an amazing experience and such a challenging journey. But there is a sweetness about it that just cannot be described or understood until you experience it for yourself. That is why it is so wonderful when close friends join you in the journey! Chris and Angela gave birth to their little beauty on May 30, 2016. Take a look at this amazing little family!
This family has an incredible story! After a visit to Myanmar they were inspired by orphan ministry and the heart of the Father. They have now decided to move to Chiang Rai, Thailand and parter with existing ministries to plant a church body that will be on mission in it’s own backyard. They will be joined by over 20 people to plant this church! It was truly a privilege to photograph this amazing family before they make the trek overseas. Please learn more about their trip and how you can partner with them in both prayer and generosity.
This wedding was so much fun to photograph! Ashley and Jerry brought some Texas country to Southern California for this Temecula based event. Ashley’s beautiful family home set the stage for a DIY backyard wedding complete with orchards, cowboy boots, and line dancing! It was such a pleasure to capture this day and it was so evident that this couple LOVES each other deeply.
I am so excited to show a preview of this wonderful couple’s union at Green Gables in San Marcos! The location was lovely with perfect weather. Jason and Carly you are such beautiful people, inside and out and I am so happy to have been apart of your day. Your love for each other is so visible and I know God will bless you in marriage and in life.

It feels so good to be back after a long maternity break. One of my most favorite things is spending an afternoon with two people who are completely head over heels for each other! Jason and Carly were amazing to photograph and such a pleasure to be around (even in blazing 100 degree heat). Their love and joy for one another is so apparent and I can not wait to photograph their wedding in January! Here is a look at our session in Irvine Park.

Pregnancy really brought out the crafter in me! I will admit I was slightly obsessed. I sewed, stitched, embroidered, paper crafted, wood burned; pretty much everything short of weaving my own tapestries! But the great thing is it ended in a beautiful nursery for our little girl, a place I am really in love with—which is good since I now spend all waking hours there.
Also I am a bit of a planning nerd and created this initial mock up of what I wanted for the nursery. It is kind of fun to see what stayed and what changed.
I ended on the theme “Whimsical Woodland” if I had to call it anything. Coral and gold were my staple colors and I collected woodland animal details. Here are some of the resources that I used to make the real thing happen
Polk-a-dot wall decals • Bunny Stuffed Animal Pattern • Crib • Wall Art: Shakespeare Quote, Woodland Animals, Owls • Featured Fabrics: Bunnies, Geometric Pillow • Ikea Wall Shelf for books • Glider • Ottoman • Rug (not pictured)
The wood burned tree plaque, hand embroidered animal mobile, curtains, and corner poufs were all items inspired by Pinterest! Many small finds were also from Goodwill, garage sales, and flea markets. The dresser/changing table was an amazing craigslist find!
The holidays are here and it seems to be baby season too! So many adorable new little ones. The Miller family and I got to spend a lovely day at Irvine Ranch Historical Park with handsome little Dalton. As always, it was such a privilege to join this lovely family for an afternoon. At only 2 months old, he was wide-eyed by the sky and the trees and cracked a few grins for me too!
