Travel :: Tokyo, Japan

So this post is looooong overdue! But better late than never. My husband and I try to take at least one trip a year and this year we counted our pennies and made the trek to Japan! Saxon lived there years ago and has wanted to go back for awhile.

I must say, Tokyo is an amazing city! I have never been anywhere that melded the old and new together so well. It is a city with deep and lasting heritage as well as booming innovation and forward thinking, so unique!

While we were truly amazed by the history and culture… our main goal was to eat our way through the city—and we did! We sampled the freshest sushi, richest ramen noodle and the most delicious gyoza dumplings!

With all that food, we walked an average of 15,000 steps a day to keep the calories burning. Needless to say it was an amazing, exhausting and once-in-a-lifetime trip and therefore a much longer blog post than normal.
