Egigian Martinez Mathison :: Family Portraits

This is such a wonderful family! My husband and I have had the joy of serving in youth ministry with Louis and Elise in the past and now we get to wish them well as they journey to the other side of the U.S.! This entire family truly is a gift to our community and the people around them and I was so happy to spend my morning capturing them all together before Louis, Elise, and little Jack follow God’s call to North Carolina.

Wedding Photography :: Patrick + Amanda

Off season weddings can sometimes be such a lovely change from the typical summer affair. Pat and Amanda’s was just that—a beautiful, brisk and bright winter wedding! their fun and quirky personalities were wonderfully apparent at a quint little apple hill venue called Los Rios Rancho. But more apparent still was the love and joy they clearly had for one another. I really didn’t have to do much more than let them be together—gotta love a couple who needs no direction. Though they saw each other for the first time before the ceremony, they didn’t want to kiss just yet, so the anticipation was clear in many of the photos! Such a pleasure to be apart of this beautiful couple’s day!

Family Portrait :: The Newells

WARNING: The following post contains extreme cuteness which may be detrimental to your health and sanity. Proceed with caution.

Ok, I know I’m a dork, but seriously, this little girl will make your insides hurt, that’s how cute she is! I know I am a bit biased since I am her “auntie” but I have never been around such a photogenic baby. Oh, Megan and Jason didn’t do too bad either. So I hope you enjoy this session with Lily, Megan and Jason—I did a little too much!

October brought the pleasure and honor of photographing a lovely wedding in Palm Desert. After shooting Nina and Pedro’s engagement photos I was so looking forward the their big day! It was a perfect blue sky for such a momentous occasion! It is always a treat to share such intimate and memorable moments with a couple and I thank Nina and Pedro for inviting me to spend this important day with them and their family! Congratulations you two!

Riverside Engagement Photography :: Nina + Pedro

What do you get when you put together a beautiful sunday afternoon, elegant Downtown Riverside architecture and a great looking couple? My favorite thing of course… a stellar engagement shoot!

I love engagement photo shoots! You can’t get a better subject than giggly, flirtatious and in-love couples. Nina and Pedro were just that. So much fun and so easy to photograph. The afternoon was spent walking around Downtown Riverside and the Mission Inn and all I had to do was sit back and let them laugh together. A couple that laughs together stays together! Thank you Nina and Pedro for being so easy, patient and all around b-e-a-utiful!

My talented mother Tina Murphy, owner of A Motion Video, also participated in the session by shooting this lovely engagement video.

Wedding Photography :: Dan + Christy

On a drizzly day in January, Dan and Christy renewed a commitment they made to each other years ago. The ceremony was at Holy Family Cathedral in Orange and the reception was at Orage Hill Restaurant. It was such a blessing to be apart of their day. I loved the fact that Dan didn’t want to see Christy before the ceremony. They were so cute and clearly in love after 4 children and years of marriage. And as if an answer to prayers, the rain cleared up after the ceremony to reveal a beautiful blue sky day in Orange.

Portrait Session:: Araujo Family

Meet the Araujos! Robin, Aaron and Meisha. Little Meisha was so much fun to photograph, and I only had to pay her in goldfish! They are a lovely family and we had a great time walking around downtown Fullerton, playing with Meisha and getting ready for Christmas card time. Thanks Robin and Aaron! If you are interested in Holiday Sessions there is still time, email me at SC@StephanieChristin.com.

Engaged:: Ruben + Jacqueline

I am happy to introduce a lovely couple I have recently met named Ruben and Jacqueline. They are fun and classy and lovely to photograph! We decided to take some engagement shots at their beautiful wedding venue in downtown Fullerton, Villa Del Sol. It was so sweet to see their excitement for their future together. Looking back at the photos, I can see the evidence of their love. Best wishes to this wonderful couple and thank you for a fun afternoon!

Mike + Min

Melissa—otherwise known as Min, Min Pin, Mini—has been my friend for 20 years! We were 5 when we met in kindergarten and today is her birthday! I used to love going to her house and playing with her and her sister Duni—I know they have some great nicknames right? Over the years we have stayed in touch on and off and it has always been a blessing to see the journey Min has been on. This summer I got to see my oldest friend get married to a clearly wonderful guy. Even better my mom and I got to capture it on video. So happy birthday and thank you, for the longest running friendship I have had yet and for sharing this exquisite day with me! Here is a glimpse at the love that Mike and Min share!

P.S. Min you have never looked more beautiful and Mike, love the dance moves!

The Pooch Shoot

Today was so much fun (aside from my poor hubby having a hurt back—not fun!). I got to hang out with one of my best friends, Krystel Camilo, and it turned into a fun little pooch-shoot of my puppy.

Krystel is just getting into photography and wanted some pointers so we decided to play around my complex with her new Nikon. I love the opportunity to help a fellow budding photographer grow technically and artistically! Little did we know that my pup Charlie would steal the show—and completely distract us from our lesson!

“Pooch-shoots,” as I’m calling them, can be so much fun if you let the dog be a dog instead of trying to get him/her be like a human subject. I discovered that following Charlie around with no limitations and little interfering brought out so much of his personality. He sniffed, he yawned, he rolled… all the best parts of being a pooch. So here is a little slice of Charlie life, I hope you enjoy!

This pooch is pooped! Now we may have to look into some pro pup modeling.
